WINS TWO AEP AWARDS!

Winners
of the Golden Lamp Awards and Distinguished Achievement
Awards – promoted by the AE
(Association of Educational Publishers) were announced
at the 2006 Annual Awards Banquet and
Gala, held Friday, June 9th, during the
AEP Summit at the JW Marriott
in Washington, D.C. AEP is the
most important non-profit organization in the
US providing the information, training, and outreach
necessary for the development of quality educational
materials. AEP facilitates communication
among key interest groups such as educators, policy
makers, educational foundations and associations
as well as business and educational media. Having
been in existence for over one hundred years,
the organization is supported by nearly 400 print
and digital publishers of all sizes and in all
media. E-Blocks won the Golden
Lamp Award in
the
Technology Category and the Distinguished Achievement
Award in Instructional Materials – Learning
Tools for Children Category.
E-Blocks took another giant step towards being
recognized as a definitive tool for English
learning for beginners. In the photo,

NECC
E-Blocks
was presented at this year’s NECC – National
Educational Computing Conference – in
San Diego, California, from July 5th-7th. NECC
has been the premier forum in which to learn,
share, and survey the field of educational technology.
This annual conference – presented by ISTE
and keyed to the National Educational
Technology Standards (NETS)
– featured hands-on workshops, lecture and interactive
sessions, discussions with key industry leaders,
and the largest educational technology exhibit
in the world. The E-Blocks’ booth
was visited by numerous educators, who viewed
presentations and discovered E-Blocks’
potential for their schools. Along with the presentations,
Juliano Fornasaro, the International Sales Manager
for E-Blocks , held a poster
session highlighting the various ways E-Blocks
can offer solutions to educators and decision
makers alike.

12TH
ENGLISH TEACHERS AND STUDENTS CONVENTION
E-Blocks
was presented at the 12th English
Teachers Convention (12 Congreso de profesores
de ingles y alumnos de profesorado de ingles)
held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from July 14th-15th.
E-Novation, E-Blocks’ local partner,
hosted numerous school directors and teachers
from the private and public sector. At the same
time, E-Blocks held an instructional
presentation at the convention, conducted by the
Argentinian teaching expert, Marta Garcia Lorea.
